LOL外围For more than 50 years, we have provided independent nuclear assurance to the Ministry of Defence's (MOD) naval nuclear propulsion programme. This vital service ensures that the reactors powering the UK's submarines are safe, available and effective. Our service gives the MOD confidence that designs and safety cases are fit for purpose

Under a long-term research & technology contract with the MOD, our world-class research facilities provide experimental data and interpretation to keep current submarines operational. We also work with Rolls-Royce and BAE Systems to support current UK submarine operations and we are developing the materials and designs of new reactors for the UK's future submarines.

LOL外围We undertake a wide range of consultancy services to the UK's defence estate, including health & safety, remediation, development planning, design, environmental assessment, and land repurposing support.

We also provide access and containment systems, protective coatings services, and insulation work for all types of seagoing vessels, operating in both Royal Navy dockyards and commercial ship yards.

Working as part of Ship Support Services Limited, we undertook the surface preparation and painting work on the two new aircraft carriers being constructed for the Royal Navy: HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales. This 10-year contract is the largest naval painting project ever undertaken by our company, requiring separate project teams to be established across the UK to support the modular build philosophy adopted by our client, the Aircraft Carrier Alliance.

We also lead the way in innovative, value-added work involving the application and repair of specialist naval stealth systems, including radar-absorbing materials and acoustic cladding materials such as anechoic tiles applied to submarine hulls.

The PHENICS automated recovery and ventilation system, specialist cleaning, fire sentries and first-attack fire fighting (FAFF) crews can also be employed as part of a single-source solution provided for total vessel in-service, build and re-fit requirements.

An impressive record with the US Department of Defense

Our international environmental and engineering experts support the global mission of US Department of Defense agencies, with services including:

• Ensuring regulatory compliance with state, federal and host-nation requirements

To demonstrate our record, during our 30+ year collaborative relationship with the US Navy, we have executed nearly 700 projects at naval facilities worldwide. We have delivered more than $2 billion in services to the US Air Force, earning high praise as the prime contractor on global-scale efforts such as Air Force Civil Engineering Center’s 4P, Heavy Engineering and Repair Contract (HERC), the Worldwide Environmental Restoration Contract, and the Environmental Construction Operations and Services contracts. For the US Army Corps of Engineers we have provided worldwide services spanning the A/E/C spectrum on 130 contracts during a 30+ year partnership.
